Mid Canyon

This is a bit of a misnomer, for there are actually many tiny sub-communities spread throughout Topanga Canyon, that are too many to list here.  Some of the streets that I consider to be “Mid-Canyon” are Hillside Drive, Arteique, Happy Trail, and others.   These communities split the difference in some ways between higher and lower areas in the Canyon.  Perhaps the best part is that many have easy access to hiking trails in Topanga State Park and relatively easy egress to Topanga Canyon Boulevard (which is important during a fire or other emergency).  One thing to keep in mind, though, is that your own particular micro-climate depends to a great deal on your elevation.  Places that are down along the creek can get very cold during the winter, while temperatures can get quite high the higher you go – even along the same street.
